Velux-only Loft Conversions are the smallest and simplest type there is. The loft conversion takes place within the existing pitch and shape of the roof. Rafters are cut to enable installation of the Velux windows. The typical time frame for a project of this type is 4-6 weeks.

Dormer Conversions

Dormer loft conversions consist of a box like structure which is added onto a pitched roof. This creates headspace and additional floorspace in your loft.  The Dormers are most commonly erected on the side or rear of the loft. The roof on these dormers can be flat or pitched. We will discuss the different options during your initial home consultation and will ensure that the dormer suits the design of your home. This type of conversion can take 4-8 weeks but this depends on how many rooms and bathrooms are being created.

An L-Shaped Dormer is where two dormer builds are connected together to form an L shape. Although this type of conversion comes with the benefit of more space, it can only be carried out on certain properties - usually Victorian or Edwardian homes or properties which have a back addition. Due to the larger scale, these conversions can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks.

Hip To Gable Conversions

This type of conversion extends your property on the sloping side, replacing the sloping roof with a vertical wall (Gable) at the end, the same height as the ridge. You can expect this type of conversion to take 5-8 weeks.
